Christmas 2007

For the last baking day before Christmas there are sausage rolls and mince pies (made with homemade mincemeat). The mincemeat is fruit. Enjoy these festive goodies and let me know via the blog "ratemycake.blogspot.com" what you think.

Orange Pound Cake

December is a short month for cakes and although the month is extremely busy with Christmas preparations I am still baking for Friday's. The cake for this week is an Orange Pound Cake filled with a homemade orange curd (another new cake recipe). Apart from the family, everyone who tries the baking is a guinea pig, so let me know what you think.

Bumbleberry Bundt Cake

On offer today is a Bumbleberry Bundt cake. As I had no bumbleberries, it is a Wild Blueberry bundt cake (with lemon). It has already been daughter tested and approved for consumption. For those interested, the humble bumbleberry is not actually a berry but a mix of any berries (blueberrries, raspberries etc.).

Today's cake is a glazed lemon cake. Thank you to Nigel and Elisa for blogging last week (even though Elisa didn't get to try the cake!). Feedback is always appreciated.

Today's cake is a Sticky Marmalade loaf, which contains no chocolate (serves you right for not posting Yannick!). For those of you who commented on my blog there will be a extra slice if you like it! The marmalade used was made by Nigel. What would you like me to make next week?

Chocolate Orange Bundt Cake

Today's offering is another new recipe (I just love experimenting on you all!), a Chocolate Orange Bundt Cake.
Thanks to the 3 (!) people who provided feedback last week, be warned though, the smaller the feedback, the smaller the cake! (next week it will be one cup cake between the lot of you!).

To celebrate the beginning of Autumn I decided to bake a Pumpkin and chocolate chip cake.
