I had decided early in the week that I would make a Chocolate Carrot Cake but due to the large number of ripe bananas in the kitchen, changed my mind and settled on a Banana Cake with Banana Icing. Nigel then mentioned that Lemon Cake had been requested so I went with that.

Cinnamon Toast Coffee Cake

This week there were two options for the baking, an Orange Sour Cream Bundt Cake or a Cinnamon Toast Coffee Cake. I opted to make the latter.

Black Forest Cake

Looking through the overflow pantry and the refrigerator this week and seeing a jar of sour cherries (note to self: try to buy them in a can, the jar is hard for me to open!). This week, to delight the taste buds, I have made a Black Forest Cake.

Banana Lemon Loaves

I needed to bake for the Church Bazaar this week so, I doubled the recipe and made the same for the Office.

This is a recipe that I have used for many years for school bazaars and gifts for teachers and bus drivers. Hence, the smaller size!

Banana Chocolate Chips and Chunks Cake

After Nigel being out of the Office for for a fortnight he is back, along with the cake, a banana chocolate chips and chunks.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cake

October is "cooking with pumpkin" month at the Holehouse residence and to this end I have baked a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cake with a streusel topping. Usually, I replace the walnuts with pecans but this week I have replaced them with chocolate.

Although Nigel is out of the office today, he will be there long enough to deliver the cake.
