The weeks seem to be flying by.  It seems that as soon as one cake has been baked, the next is being planned.

This week I have made a Coffee Cake with a Chocolate Streusel.

Apple Pie Muffin Cake

This week, as usual, I have several cakes to make.  I was going through some recipes trying to make a decision.  As there were quite a few apples hanging out in the fruit bowl Nigel suggested the Apple Pie Muffin Cake.

Almond Slices (with a twist!)

For this week's Friday treat I have made Almond Slices (which Nigel has been asking for) but with a twist.  I have replaced the raspberry jam with homemade lemon curd.

Due to the smaller pan size quantities are limited.

This week I was browsing through my cookery books and decided on a Classic Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting.

Sour Cream Bundt Cake

I thought that I should write this post before the power goes down for maintenance.

This week I was browsing recipes and decided on a Sour Cream Bundt Cake but with a few tweaks. So that it would be easier to portion (and possibly feed more people) I changed the pan in which the cake was baked.  I also swapped the pecans for chocolate chips.
