Sausage Rolls and Mince Pies

For many it is the last day at the office before the Christmas holidays.

Over the years it has become a tradition that I bake Mince Pies (using Nigel's homemade mincemeat) and Sausage Rolls for the last day, this year is no exception.  Quantities are limited to two dozen of each so you need to be speedy.

Chocolate Cake

It is the penultimate Friday before the Christmas holidays.

Yesterday I was wondering what to bake and thought about Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread cookies only to discover have quite enough molasses.  I then decided to make Chocolate cake and set about measuring and mixing the ingredients and found that I was short of cocoa, so this ingredient was replaced with chocolate.

Gingerbread

It is now the first Friday of December 2014 (wow! What happened to the last eleven months!).

For today I thought that I would make a gingerbread cake simply dusted with icing sugar.
