Blueberry Yogurt (Buttermilk) Pound Cake

Both Nigel and our daughter were in Ottawa last weekend to run the Ottawa 1/2 Marathon, grocery shopping was, therefore, done on Monday evening.  Fresh Blueberries were a good price this week and so I decided that the cake for this week would be Blueberry Yogurt Pound Cake.

When it came to baking yesterday I discovered that I was out of natural yogurt and had no orange juice.  I replace the yogurt with buttermilk and the orange juice with juice from some mandarins which I had in the store cupboard.  I also baked this cake in the 9" x 13" format for ease of cutting, rather than the bundt pan.

Glazed Lemon Cake

Last week a request was made for Lemon Cake,  As Nigel extended the long weekend by taking Friday off it did not happen.  I have, therefore, made the Glazed Lemon Cake for today.

Banana Cake with Banana Icing

This week I had some bananas just waiting to be used.  I have, therefore, made a Banana Cake with Banana Icing.

Looking back at the blog this cake was last baked for the office two months ago.

Carrot Cake

This week I have made a carrot cake.  The original recipe is a little small for the office so I double it and bake it in a larger pan.

Looking back, it would appear, that this recipe was last baked in August 2014.
