According to my records I make this recipe once a year for the office, usually at the beginning of December when we start with gingerbread cakes. I have made a Chocolate Gingerbread which is usually dusted with icing sugar but this time I have topped it with a Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.

Glazed Lemon Cake
Now is the time of year that I take a look and replenish my baking ingredients, both fresh and dry (it would not do for me to run out of anything). The flavour of the cake this week, Glazed Lemon Cake, was dictated by the fact that I had lemons. It is also a favourite, not only at the office.

Pumpkin Carrot Cake with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting
This week there was a small quantity of pureed pumpkin, carrots and cream cheese in the fridge begging to be used. I start thinking about which cake to bake for Friday early in the week (often reviewing the blog) and decided upon Pumpkin Carrot Cake with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting.

Glazed Lemon Cake
Soon the baking starts, using festive ingredients, for bazaars and gifts.
I have made a number of cakes in the past month or so using pumpkin, either testing recipes for wedding cake or muffins, so this week we have returned to a tried and true recipe, Glazed Lemon Cake.
